Andrea Martinez-Mejia, M.P.A., M.A., will be Keynote Speaker at the The Art of Being a Modern Latina, a brunch event sponsored by the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey. This limited capacity event, open to the public, will take place on Thursday, May 27th @ 8-11am at Son Cubano, 40-4 Riverwalk Pl, West New York, NJ 00793. Mask wearing is required.

Reporting to Judith M. Persichilli, Commissioner of Health, the Chief of Staff, Andrea Martinez-Mejia (COS) has oversight of the executive management team and a combined State/Federal budget of $2.8 billion.
Prior to joining the Department, Andrea Martinez-Mejia served as Coordinator of Community Health Services for the City of Trenton’s Department of Health and Human Services. Mrs. Martinez-Mejia has extensive experience in government, including serving as Acting Director of Appointments for New Jersey’s Office of the Governor under 3 different Governors, Director of Community Relations and Constituency Services for the New Jersey Department of Health, and Director of Constituent Relations for the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of State. Martinez-Mejia earned her B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University.

Persichilli, la Jefa de los Empleados, Andrea Martinez-Mejia (Chief Of Staff) tiene la supervisión del equipo de administración ejecutiva y un presupuesto estatal-federal combinado de $ 2.8 mil millones. Antes de unirse al Departamento, Andrea se desempeñó como Coordinadora de Servicios de Salud Comunitaria para el Departamento de Salud y Servicios Humanos de la Ciudad de Trenton.
La Sra. Martínez-Mejía tiene una amplia experiencia en el gobierno, que incluye ser Directora interina de Citas para la Oficina del Gobernador de Nueva Jersey bajo 3 gobernadores diferentes, Directora de Relaciones Comunitarias y Servicios de Distrito para el Departamento de Salud de Nueva Jersey y Directora de Relaciones Constituyentes para la Oficina del Secretario de Estado de Nueva Jersey.
Martínez-Mejía obtuvo su B.A. en Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad de Rutgers, una Maestría en Administración Pública y una Maestría en Diplomacia y Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad de Seton Hall.
