Los Angeles, United States, June 24 (EFE).-

Costa Rica delivered the first surprise in the Copa America by holding Brazil to a goalless draw in the Group D contest Monday at the Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Brazilians had a goal by Marquinhos disallowed by VAR in the first half before they improved in the second half, but still could not overcome Costa Rica’s iron-clad defense.

Brazil will face Paraguay in their next match Friday in Las Vegas, while Costa Rica will face Colombia in Phoenix, Arizona, on the same day. EFE
