The 9th Annual Latino Festival of Hightstown and East Windsor will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 12-6 PM at the Hightstown High School on 25 Leshin Lane in Hightstown. A rain date of Sunday, September 18, has been designated for the same location.
As in previous years, this multicultural community celebration will showcase music and dance, arts and crafts, health screenings, children’s games, and food from popular area restaurants and vendors. This free event is accessible and open to the public, with free parking available at the high school.
The festival will bring together artists and ensembles from across New Jersey and the Tri-State Area, including live folkloric and popular music and dance representing traditions from diverse longstanding Latino communities in our region, including those originating in Colombia, Ecuador, and Mexico.
“We are holding the event this year as part of Hispanic Heritage Month and are excited to engage a wonderful group of Latino artists to share their rich cultural traditions, creativity, and passion,” said Dr. Carlos Fernandez, member of the festival organizing committee.
Featured artists this year include Mariachi Campero, dance troupe Costa Oaxaca, singers Juve and Gustavo Andres, Nicki Denner Latin Jazz All Stars, and internationally known cumbia and salsa groups Sonora Dinamita and Latin Brothers.
“This year’s program will once again recognize leaders and volunteers for their significant contributions to the well-being and success of the Hispanic community with the Rise Heroes award,” said Juan Cobos, co-founder and co-chair of the festival.
The event is presented by the Latino Festival Organizing Committee of Hightstown and East Windsor under the auspices of Rise and made possible through the generous support of Diversified Shelving, Jersey Central Power and Light, Capital Health, Dunkin Donuts, Haldeman Ford, Home Depot, Konecta, Liberty Cola, Modway, NY Jets, Retro Fitness and other local businesses and organizations.

HIGHTSTOWN SERÁ ANFITRIÓN DEL 9º FESTIVAL LATINO ANUAL EL 17 DE SEPTIEMBRE
Programa destacará la danza y la música de México, Ecuador y Colombia
Hightstown, NJ (28 de agosto de 2022) – El 9.º Festival Latino Anual de Hightstown y East Windsor se llevará a cabo el sábado 17 de septiembre de 2022 de 12 a 6 p. m. en Hightstown High School en 25 Leshin Lane en Hightstown. Se ha designado una fecha de lluvia para el domingo 18 de septiembre para el mismo lugar.
Como en años anteriores, esta celebración comunitaria multicultural exhibirá música y danza, artes y artesanías, exámenes de salud, juegos para niños y comida de restaurantes y vendedores del área. Este evento gratuito es accesible y está abierto al público, con estacionamiento gratuito disponible en la escuela secundaria.
El festival reunirá a artistas y conjuntos de todo Nueva Jersey y el área de los tres estados, que incluirán música y bailes folclóricos y populares en vivo que representan tradiciones de diversas comunidades latinas de nuestra región originarias de Colombia, Ecuador y México.
“Estamos celebrando el evento este año como parte del Mes de la Herencia Hispana y estamos emocionados de involucrar a un maravilloso grupo de artistas latinos para compartir sus ricas tradiciones culturales, creatividad y pasión”, dijo el Dr. Carlos Fernández, miembro del comité organizador del festival.
Los artistas destacados de este año incluyen al Mariachi Campero, el grupo de danza Costa Oaxaca de Freehold, los cantantes Ecuatorianos Juve y Gustavo Andrés, Nicki Denner Latin Jazz All Stars y los grupos de cumbia y salsa de renombre internacional Sonora Dinamita y Latin Brothers.
“El programa de este año reconocerá una vez más a los líderes y voluntarios por sus importantes contribuciones al bienestar y el éxito de la comunidad hispana con el premio Rise Heroes”, dijo Juan Cobos, cofundador y copresidente del festival.
