The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of NJ Celebrates its 8 th HETP Graduation

The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey announces the graduation of 50 students from its 14-week Hispanic Entrepreneurship Training Program (HETP).

The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, May 13th 2022, at Hudson County Community College in Jersey City, NJ. This HETP class has experienced a hybrid approach with both an in-person class and virtual classes setting up entrepreneurs for success regardless of the situation.

HETP is a comprehensive business counseling and training program that provides cultural and linguistic business education and mentorship services free of cost to Hispanic small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. The curriculum incorporates courses focused on business plan design, finance, accounting, marketing, product exports, and other services such as maintaining and managing client relationships. “We are so proud of this year’s HETP graduates, regardless of the state of the world, we were able to provide each of them with the materials necessary to succeed in the course in a hybrid environment.

Today’s circumstances are a great example of why entrepreneurs need access to capital and credit, as well as other degrees and certifications,” says Carlos Medina, President of SHCCNJ. Chairman Luis de la Hoz points out that “this year SHCCNJ is happy to be one of the few organizations that continued to contribute to New Jersey entrepreneurs’ growth and development. Our commitment to them does not end today. We will be here to support their trajectory and growth in the business world”.

HETP Celebran La Graduación de 50 Empresarios

La Cámara de Comercio Hispana de Nueva Jersey a través de su Programa de Capacitación para Emprendedores Hispanos (HETP) anuncia la graduación 50 estudiantes que durante 14 semanas se educaron en aspectos empresariales. La ceremonia de graduación en persona tuvo lugar el 13 de Mayo, 2022 en Hudson County Community College en Jersey City, NJ.

HETP es un programa integral de asesoramiento y preparación empresarial que proporciona de manera apropiada, cultural y lingüística servicios educativos y mentoría en negocios de manera gratuita para propietarios de pequeñas empresas hispanas y aspirantes a emprendedores. El currículo incorpora cursos enfocados en el diseño del plan de negocios, aspectos financieros y de contabilidad, mercadeo, construcción de la presencia empresarial a través de las redes sociales y en línea, exportación de productos y servicios, así como mantener y manejar la relación con los clientes.

“Estamos muy orgullosos de los graduados HETP de este año, independientemente del estado del mundo, pudimos brindarles a cada uno de ellos los materiales necesarios para tener éxito en el curso en un entorno híbrido. Las circunstancias de hoy son un gran ejemplo de por qué los emprendedores necesitan acceso a capital y crédito, así como otros títulos y certificaciones”, dice Carlos Medina, presidente de SHCCNJ.

Por su parte, el principal ejecutivo de SHCCNJ, Luis de la Hoz señala, “este año nos alegramos de ser una de las pocas organizaciones que continuó aportando al crecimiento y desarrollo de los empresarios de Nueva Jersey.
