Lionel Messi and Inter Miami worked another miracle on Wednesday and qualified for the final of the US Open Cup after defeating Cincinnati on penalties.
The Argentinian icon recently led Inter Miami to its first-ever trophy by claiming the Leagues Cup title following a spectacular run of seven wins in seven games.
However, on Wednesday, the Florida team was down 2-1 when a 98th minute equalizer by Leonardo Campana set up by Messi sent the match to extra time.

Earlier, Campana opened the scoring for his team, once again assisted by Messi, after Cincinnati jumped to a 2-0 lead.
Josef Martinez put Inter Miami ahead in the 93rd minute but Yuya Kubo found the net in the 114th to force a penalty shootout.
Both teams converted their first four attempts with Messi scoring the first penalty for his team.
Inter Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender then saved Nick Hagglund’s deciding kick to seal his team’s victory. EFE
